Role Details

Location: Remote, United States. This is a remote opportunity with a strong preference for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Compensation: The annual OTE for this role is $108,000 USD in addition to equity & benefits.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target depending on the location of each candidate. In addition to location, other factors including level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience will determine compensation.

The Team & Role

As a Renewals Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of this mission, owning a portfolio of SMB renewals and ensuring every opportunity is handled with expertise and care. You’ll help shape how we manage renewals, collaborate across departments, and play a role in refining our processes as we scale the account management team. Plus, you'll have opportunities to advance your sales career, gaining valuable experience in both customer relationships and strategic sales management.

You’ll be responsible for managing renewal updates, forecasting, negotiations, and objection handling. You’ll also identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, demo exciting new products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep renewals on track.

This role is a blend of customer-facing interactions and behind-the-scenes deal strategy, where you’ll create quotes, negotiate terms, and process contracts.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

  • Take full ownership of your designated portfolio of SMB renewals.
  • Engage with customers proactively, answering renewal-related questions clearly and with a customer-first approach.
  • Skillfully handle objections and adjust proposals to ensure the best solution for our customers.
  • Follow up with customers who may need a little extra nudge to respond to automated renewal outreach, reaching out to new contacts when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate renewal forecasts and keep your data up to date in Salesforce, Clari, & Vitally.
  • Deliver live demos of new products and take full ownership of expansion opportunities during the renewal process.
  • Deliver live demos of new products to customers, and own all expansions at renewal.
  • Drive your personal growth in the sales world by advancing your skills in relationship management, negotiation, and strategic account expansion.

About You

  • 3+ years in a customer-facing role at a SaaS company, preferably in a renewal or sales capacity.
  • Motivated to drive revenue and exceed renewal and expansion quotas.
  • Exceptionally organized, with excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and understand the big picture, taking into account the perspectives of various stakeholders.
  • A track record of creative problem solving skills in a high-velocity environment
  • Customer centric mindset, with an ability to build lasting customer relationships
  • Strong cross functional skills, with a track record of working collaboratively towards shared goals
  • Experience using sales tools (e.g. Clari, Salesforce CPQ, DocuSign, Vitally, or similar tools)
  • Experience in the Recruiting or HR technology space is a plus!
