Job summary

First American Financial Corporation seeks a Commercial Underwriter to support energy/renewable energy transactions. You will apply underwriting and title insurance expertise, research skills, and attention to detail to help support the development, financing, acquisition, and closing of energy projects.

You will work on solar, wind, battery storage, transmission, and other energy assets, collaborating with internal teams, escrow professionals, customers, and outside counsel to move transactions

Qualifications

• 5-7 years title underwriting experience, commercial experience preferred.
• Experience with title transactions involving energy, renewable energy, utilities, land acquisition, project finance, energy infrastructure, or large multi-site portfolios.
• Renewable energy transaction experience is strongly preferred; energy infrastructure matters are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support for real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
• Review title searches for energy/renewable energy transactions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel to resolve title issues and move transactions forward.
• Communicate title requirements and closing-related matters clearly to partners.
