Job summary

Geronimo Power, LLC is hiring an Operations Procurement Specialist in Bloomington, MN to support timely, policy-compliant acquisition of materials, equipment, rentals, and services for renewable energy facilities. You will coordinate purchasing activities, supplier onboarding, PO lifecycle, receiving, invoicing issues, and procurement reporting.

You will work with Operations, plant personnel, Finance, AP, and suppliers to ensure continuity across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, operations, project coordination, or a related field.
• Experience creating and managing purchase orders and working directly with suppliers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and follow established processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently drive issues through resolution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Process procurement requests for materials, equipment, rentals, training, spare parts, and services supporting operating renewable energy facilities.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, obtain quotations, and organize supplier responses for evaluation.
• Create, maintain, and process purchase orders, change orders, and related procurement documentation per policies.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm scope, pricing, coding, budget availability, delivery requirements, and other information.
• Track open purchase orders and follow up on deliveries, acknowledgments, and actions.
• Support supplier onboarding with vendor documentation like W-9s, insurance certificates, and payment information.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding quotations, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoicing requirements.
• Maintain supplier records and procurement documentation in accordance with policies and audit requirements.
• Assist with supplier performance tracking and supplier relationship management.
