POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer for our Renewables Business Unit. This role can be based remotely, with reporting to an existing POWER office.
The candidate should have foundational electrical engineering design skills and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include working within a multidisciplinary team on federal and industrial projects, creating construction drawings and specifications, and conducting studies and reports. Knowledge of grounding, lightning protection, surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, generation systems, motor control centers, switchgear, substations, and UPS systems is required. Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, ICC, UFC, energy codes, and IEEE standards is essential. Experience with electrical system modeling and power system studies using ETAP, PTW, or EasyPower is preferred. The role demands strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to interface with clients and drive projects to completion within budget and schedule.
