Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a Supervisor of Engineering to oversee engineering services within the department. The role may include engaging with customers, presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring profitable project outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree with five years of relevant experience. A PE license and broad utility engineering knowledge are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Four-year ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent recognized by IEA/MRA.
• Five years of engineering experience; accredited program required.
• Master's may substitute for one year of experience; specifics vary by program.

Responsabilités

• Supervises engineering work to ensure technical soundness and cost effectiveness; ensures projects meet schedule and budget.
• Develops plans and proposals that meet customer needs, are profitable and balance risk for the company.
• Monitors expenditures and ensures prudent use of company funds and resources.
• Maintains a technically competent department; hires, evaluates, and develops staff across disciplines.
• Provides consulting, communicates with industry partners, and investigates new technologies.
• Prepares detailed lists and cost estimates; maintains plant documents.
