The Andersons, Inc. invites a Renewables Engineering Co-op to join our production team, applying engineering principles to real-world ethanol plant challenges and capital projects.

You will work with engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to safety, reliability, and plant performance while gaining increasing responsibility through the co‑op experience.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Agriculture Systems, and/or Process Engineering.
• Junior standing with minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience required.

Aufgaben

• Support process engineering initiatives by troubleshooting operational challenges, analyzing data, and researching practical solutions to improve plant performance.
• Collaborate with production operators, engineers, and maintenance personnel to identify process improvement opportunities and implement operational enhancement.
• Assist with capital projects by supporting project planning, data collection, equipment evaluations, contractor coordination, and project execution activities.
• Review and update process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and engineering records to ensure accuracy and alignment with current operations.
• Conduct field observations, gather process data, and evaluate equipment and system performance to support engineering recommendations.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Communicate engineering findings, project updates, and recommended solutions to cross-functional teams.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and responsibilities, demonstrating increasing independence and technical capability throughout the co‑op experience.
