Job summary

The Andersons invites students to join the Renewables Engineering Co-op, providing hands-on experience at a dynamic ethanol production facility. Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Agriculture Systems, and/or Process Engineering.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in junior year of study.
• 0-2 years’ relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot operational challenges and analyze data to improve plant performance.
• Collaborate with production operators, engineers, and maintenance personnel on process improvements.
• Support capital projects via planning, data collection, equipment evaluations, and contractor coordination.
• Review and update process documentation (P&IDs, SOPs, engineering records) for accuracy.
• Conduct field observations and collect process data to support engineering recommendations.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, efficiency, and reliability.
• Communicate engineering findings and project updates to cross-functional teams.
• Own assigned projects with increasing independence and technical capability.
