Job summary

The Andersons, Inc. is seeking a Renewables Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and manage plant capital projects from concept to completion at our ethanol plant. You will prepare accurate estimates, identify equipment and resources, and ensure regulatory compliance across all phases.

This role requires a degree in engineering, 3–5 years in industry, and a track record in capital projects. You will work with external vendors and internal teams to deliver cost-effective, on-time results in a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience required in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in an ethanol plant environment or similar biofuels operation preferred.
• Experience leading or supporting capital projects, including construction and implementation phases.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and oversee external engineering vendors, including reviewing and validating engineering designs specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide reasonable and cost-effective project and electrical estimates.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
• Evaluate and identify all equipment, materials, and resources required for project completion.
• Oversee the development of layout and drawings needed for project management.
• Manage projects to meet cost, schedule, and functional outcomes.
• Act as a technical resource for reviewing existing assets and proposed projects.
