Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks an Electrical Graduate Engineer to join the Renewables Division in Westminster, CO.

You will support the production of construction documents for solar, wind, and energy storage projects, coordinating with civil, geotechnical, and survey disciplines and applying AutoCAD standards. The role emphasizes strong communication, ability to balance multiple projects, and a basic electrical design background.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Technical School Certificate in Electrical Design, Solar Design, Architectural/Engineering Drafting, or related degree.
• Approximately 2–5 years of experience drafting/designing electrical power/distribution systems.
• Proficiency reading construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows/Office products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Construction document production support for commercial and utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
• Coordinate with design team disciplines (civil, geotechnical, surveyors).
• Use AutoCAD to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs (site layouts, wire/cable routing, one lines, details, equipment/wire schedules).
• Create wiring/cable schedules based on input from senior designers/engineers.
• Maintain awareness of Westwood CAD standards.
