Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Designer/Drafter – Engineering Technician to join our Renewables Division.

This role focuses on supporting wind, solar, and storage projects by preparing design drawings, plan sets, exhibits, and technical documents. You will collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop high-quality deliverables, maintain organized drawing files and sheet sets, assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates, and ensure drafting standards and project

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year technical degree in drafting, design technology, engineering technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a CAD Technician, Designer/Drafter, or equivalent role.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings, plan sets, exhibits, and technical documents.
• Develop and revise drawings for renewable energy site design and civil components.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure quality deliverables.
• Assist in organizing drawing files, sheet sets, and project documentation.
• Support construction quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
