Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator (Non-Driver) for renewable energy construction sites. You will operate a range of heavy machinery, perform pre-op checks, and follow strict safety protocols to ensure efficient project progress.

The role requires reading basic blueprints, teamwork, and a commitment to safety; experience on renewable energy projects is preferred. On-site work with standard site conditions and weather exposure is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy civil and mechanical equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and project plans.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Familiarity with renewable energy construction projects preferred.
• Relevant equipment operating certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy civil and mechanical equipment (excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, lifts).
• Perform daily pre-operational checks and routine maintenance.
• Comply with safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
• Excavate, grade, trench, and move materials per plans.
• Assist with assembly and installation of mechanical components for renewable energy systems.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Identify and report malfunctions or hazards; maintain clean work area.
