Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to support civil infrastructure projects on site. You will operate excavators, dozers, loaders, and related machinery, performing inspections, routine maintenance, and precise earthwork per project plans.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of hands-on experience, a commitment to safety, and the ability to read construction documents. CDL is preferred but not mandatory; overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of verifiable experience operating heavy civil construction equipment.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, surveys, and grade stakes.
• Strong understanding of civil construction practices, grading, and earthwork.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate various heavy civil construction equipment safely and efficiently on projects.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as greasing, cleaning, and adjustments.
• Read blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents for accuracy.
• Grade, level, and compact earth, rock, and materials per plans.
• Collaborate with ground crews and supervisors to keep projects on track.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment, minimizing environmental impact.
