Job summary

Evergy is seeking a Renewables and Build Transfer Projects Engineer to support the development and execution of solar, battery storage and future generation projects. You will work with project managers to ensure safe, timely, cost-effective delivery that meets technical requirements.

The role involves coordinating with internal and external teams, developing project scope and schedules, and managing procurement and contracts. Travel to active sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Engineer In Training or PE license preferred.
• Experience with utility-scale renewable or conventional energy projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of power plant operations and grid concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design portions of renewable and conventional generation projects.
• Serve as technical liaison among Owner's Engineer, EPC, Developer and stakeholders.
• Develop and track project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Prepare and review RFPs for engineering, equipment, and construction scopes.
• Support safety culture and maintain strong external relationships.
