Job summary

Yaskawa – Solectria Solar, a leader in PV inverter technology, seeks a Technical Support engineer focused on renewable energy. You will provide phone and field support, addressing installation, startup, maintenance and repair tasks for customers and partners.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with PV systems, VFDs, PLCs, and BESS, along with strong communication skills and a drive to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSET preferred in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, PV Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 1+ year in technical customer support, field service, or hands-on with renewable energy products, VFDs, servo systems, PLCs, BESS, or similar industrial automation.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, power electronics, inverters, VFDs, servo systems, and battery storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting and phone support for customers and field engineers on PV inverters and related equipment.
• Assist customers with installation, start-up, maintenance, repair, training, parts, and project identification.
• Diagnose system errors, hardware faults, and communication issues remotely using schematics and diagnostics tools.
• Navigate solar monitoring platforms, drive configuration software, and PLC programming environments to resolve issues.
