Job summary

Yaskawa – Solectria Solar, a subsidiary of Yaskawa America, Inc., seeks a Tech Support Engineer for Renewable Energy. The role provides phone support, field service engineering, and technical assistance across installation, startup, maintenance, and repair for PV inverters and energy storage systems.

The ideal candidate has a background in electrical/renewable energy engineering, hands-on experience with PV systems and power electronics, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of technical customer support or field service experience.
• Experience with renewable energy products, PV systems, VFDs, servo systems, PLCs, robotics, CNC equipment or energy storage devices.
• NABCEP certification is a plus.
• Strong ability to diagnose system errors remotely using schematics and diagnostics tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting phone support and technical assistance for customers.
• Assist with installation, start-up, maintenance, repair and training on projects.
• Support customers, distributors, OEMs, contractors and field personnel.
• Navigate solar monitoring platforms and configuration software to diagnose issues.
