Job summary

Yaskawa Solectria Solar, a subsidiary of Yaskawa America, Inc., is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair and test PV inverters and related equipment across the United States. The position is based in Northern IL/Southeast WI, with travel to customer sites nationwide and potential international assignments.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with hands-on inverter experience and high-voltage power electronics exposure.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technician or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with high voltage and power electronics with a strong emphasis in basic electronic principles.
• The perfect candidate will have previous PV systems or hands-on inverter experience.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to be based in Northern IL/Southeast WI, Texas or New Mexico, closest to the majority of our customer locations. However, customers may exist anywhere within the US, so travel may be required nationally and candidates near any major airport will also be considered. You'll work on a wide range of locations and will learn to maintain all of our product lines. This role provides detailed information on repairs or service activities to improve the field service processes.
