Job summary

BCL Legal in New York seeks a project finance attorney to evaluate contract risk and guide financing decisions for wind, solar and storage deals. You’ll review EPC and equipment supply contracts, offtake agreements, and construction documents to determine whether capital should be deployed.

You will collaborate with deal teams and lenders, support construction financings and term loans, and advance your career from the contract layer into broader project finance practice within a high‑impact,

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school required.
• Admission to New York Bar required.
• Minimum 2 years of finance experience at an AmLaw‑level firm.
• Experience with project finance, development, or document review.
• Exposure to EPC/construction, equipment supply, or offtake agreements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze EPC/construction contracts, equipment supply agreements, and offtake arrangements.
• Support diligence processes across renewable energy project financings.
• Identify and flag commercial and financing risks affecting lender appetite.
• Summarize complex project contracts for internal teams and clients.
• Support construction financings, term loan facilities, and back‑leverage structures.
• Collaborate with deal teams to ensure alignment with financing requirements.
