Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Engineer to lead sourcing of critical equipment for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including inverters, transformers, racking, foundations and SCADA.

You will own the full procurement lifecycle from RFP development to contract award and transition to project execution teams. The role combines market research, supplier qualification, and commercial negotiation to secure competitive, high-quality solutions aligning with design

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management is required.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of negotiated bids, lump-sum, and Design/Build processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead market research and maintain relationships to track changes in the energy storage equipment market.
Explore new technologies and benchmark products for value and impact.
Initiate and lead supplier and product qualification processes.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and lead times with suppliers.
Support RFP development and evaluation during project pursuits and preconstruction.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure smooth handoffs and procurement execution.
