Job summary

Meta’s Global Energy Team is seeking an experienced energy professional to manage a portfolio of renewable energy and carbon reduction contracts across development, construction, and operation phases. You will oversee compliance, data management, and coordination with legal, finance, and vendors to ensure term satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in energy contract management or related fields, with a focus on renewable energy projects and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, energy, environmental science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in energy contract management, project development, or energy operations with a utility, supplier, developer, or energy-intensive company.
• Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects and understanding performance metrics.
• Experience drafting official correspondence and building partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce, AI tooling.
• Experience in building cross-functional relationships and managing 3rd party vendors.
• Experience analyzing energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale market data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Meta's operational renewable energy contract requirements.
• Create, maintain, update and track documents and data related to renewable energy projects.
• Track counterparty compliance with contract deliverables.
• Review invoicing and reporting for renewable energy project contracts, and ensure RECs, costs and performance align with contract terms.
• Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage amendments, collateral, force majeure, and other issues.
• Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution.
• Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, and other stakeholders.
