Job summary

Meta’s Global Energy Team is seeking an experienced energy professional to manage clean and renewable energy contracts and carbon reduction contracts across construction, development, and operations. You will oversee contract compliance, support negotiations, monitor project status, coordinate amendments, and maintain contract documents and data, ensuring REC and cost controls and performance alignment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, energy or environmental science, paralegal studies or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in energy contract management, energy project development, or energy operations with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or energy-intensive industrial or consumer company
  • Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects and understanding performance metrics
  • Experience drafting official correspondence between counterparties and experience developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with G-Suite, Salesforce, AI tooling
  • Experience in building cross-functional relationships and managing 3rd Party Vendors
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data
  • 8+ years of experience in clean energy contracts and/or asset management, renewable energy origination, or energy project operations
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems
  • Experience communicating complex contractual and technical issues to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven experience managing operational utility-scale generation and storage assets
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience developing portfolio-level reporting and dashboards
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact
  • Experience adhering to responsible, ethical AI practices

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Meta's operational renewable energy contract requirements
  • Create, maintain, update and track documents and data related to renewable energy projects
  • Track counterparty compliance with contract deliverables
  • Review invoicing and reporting for renewable energy project contracts, and ensure that RECs, costs and project performance are consistent with contract terms and conditions
  • Respond to counterparty inquiries and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues, as needed
  • Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution
  • Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations
  • Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and other key stakeholders
