Job summary

WSB is seeking a Power Generation Planning Intern for Fall 2026 in Minneapolis, MN. You will join our National Internship Program and work alongside experienced professionals on renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year program in urban planning, community planning, or a related field.
• Interest in renewable energy, land use planning, and sustainable community development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and presentations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and community stakeholders.
• Must be at least 18 years old, GPA 3.4 preferred, driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to land use, renewable energy siting, and community impact.
• Assisting with the review of land use applications and permits for renewable energy projects.
• Supporting preparation of staff reports, plans, and ordinance documentation.
• Assisting with community engagement efforts, including meetings, presentations, and outreach materials.
• Supporting code/zoning research and compliance efforts related to renewable energy projects.
• Contributing to other planning and renewable energy project tasks as assigned.
