Job summary

Invenergy LLC, headquartered in Chicago, offers a Summer 2027 Engineering Internship across wind, solar, BESS, and transmission teams. Interns gain hands-on experience with industry tools, attend lunch-and-learns, and visit project sites while contributing to design, evaluation, and construction efforts.

Open to candidates enrolled in an engineering bachelor’s program with a 2027–2028 graduation window, eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, with a base pay of $22–$27 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Majoring in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or related).
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• GPA and other preferences are noted in the posting but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams on wind, solar, and storage projects.
• Support technical design, evaluation, and construction activities.
• Model energy production and key project metrics.
• Conduct site visits for evaluation and siting.
• Support permitting and community outreach efforts.
