Job summary

We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service, subsidiaries of WEC Energy Group, are seeking an Intern - Renewables Engineering for Summer 2027. The role can be located in Green Bay, Milwaukee, or nearby renewables sites, with hybrid work options.

You will contribute to PV solar and wind projects, assist with engineering tasks, and gain hands-on experience while maintaining safety and reliability. Required: pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering, GPA 2.8+; valid driver's license; and

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with graduation after July 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support PV Solar projects, including observing field activities, updating equipment records, and focusing on operational performance and optimization of solar sites.
• Support wind project operational performance and optimization.
• Review and revise technical documentation and drawings.
• Perform ad hoc investigations of emergent equipment issues.
• Use available data to investigate performance or reliability issues within the solar and wind fleets.
• Provide general engineering support to PG‑Renewables group.
• Track ongoing tasks across sites and support engineers and supervisors.
• Drive continuous improvement by researching emerging utility solar trends.
• Alternate between remote and office work as needed (hybrid setting).
• Travel to generation sites in remote locations in WI, MI, IA, or IL.
