New Leaf Energy in the renewable energy sector seeks an M&A Associate to contribute to development and financing of solar, wind, and energy storage projects, including risk analysis and milestone forecasting. This key role helps own the process from origination to the closing stages of project financing.

Position offers a hybrid work environment with in-person collaboration and remote options; compensation includes base salary, above-market variable pay, and an equity-like program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience in renewable energy project development/financing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business or related field; MBA desired.
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional teams to complete critical project development tasks.
• Maintain checklists, schedules, and data rooms to keep processes organized.
• Track inter-departmental deliverables and forecast milestone dates.
• Support drafting and negotiation of project contracts and agreements.
• Coordinate permits, interconnection, and related contracts.
