Job summary

Renewable Properties is seeking a talented Project Finance Associate to support the financial strategy and execution of our solar, BESS, EV charging, and powered land development and acquisition pipeline. You will build and maintain detailed financial models across our active portfolio and support buy- and sell-side M&A diligence and financing transactions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in renewable energy project finance, investment banking, corporate development, or M&A.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills including cash flows, scenarios, and valuations.
• Familiarity with tax equity structures and renewable energy financing mechanics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate analyses into actionable insights.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams with precision under tight timelines.
• Based in San Francisco, Miami, or New York City.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize project- and fund-level financial models aligned with underwriting assumptions, cap structures, and RFPs.
• Support execution of M&A transactions, including valuation, modeling, due diligence, and stakeholder coordination.
• Analyze and model PPA and community solar RFP responses, supporting bid strategy and pricing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect inputs and validate assumptions for development-stage assets.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal approvals, investor discussions, and lender engagement.
• Assist with transaction structuring, investor negotiations, and financing document execution.
• Monitor late-stage and operational project financials, identifying risks and mitigants.
• Track market trends, policy developments, and valuation benchmarks relevant to solar and BESS financing.
