Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years in renewable energy with focus on project development, M&A or finance
• Understanding of tax and key real estate processes
• Strong leadership, negotiation and project management skills
• Solid understanding of project financial structures, tax implications, investor decisions
• Experience negotiating renewable energy purchase/sale agreements
• Familiarity with interconnection, permitting, and real estate

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to market and sell projects per forecasted milestones
• Negotiate membership interests purchase agreements (MIPAs) for sales to third-party owners
• Run competitive marketing processes using project management best practices
• Collaborate to design strategies to market portfolios of renewable projects
• Assist in structuring transactions per regulatory guidelines and investor needs
• Maintain strong customer relationships and drive alignment across departments
• Develop domain expertise across regional teams and respond to project finance trends
• Build and sustain cross-functional relationships to drive shared success
• Perform due diligence and resolve issues with stakeholders
• Direct staff within the M&A department and other units
• Identify and improve New Leaf Energy policies and procedures
