Job summary

DESRI seeks an associate or manager of development to lead renewable energy project development and participate in asset acquisitions within an inclusive, collaborative environment.

The role involves identifying opportunities, negotiating with landowners and permitting authorities, translating complex information into financial models, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and budget. It may focus on recontracting assets or developing battery storage projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years renewable energy development experience; familiar with technical, commercial, regulatory and operational issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical acumen, and organizational abilities.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in any field.
• Compensation based on market indicators; base salary range of $100,000-$150,000.

Responsibilities

• Identify, manage, and implement early- and mid-stage renewable projects to mitigate risks to mature development, financing, construction, and long-term management.
• Research and communicate with counterparties (landowners, permitting authorities, engineers, utilities, offtakers) to translate information into financial models.
• Work with a team of developers in a dynamic, agile organization to keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Role may focus on recontracting operating assets and/or developing surplus battery energy storage projects.
