DESRI is seeking an associate or manager of development to lead renewable energy project development and participate in asset acquisitions in a collaborative environment.

The role focuses on identifying opportunities for new projects, negotiating with landowners, and translating information into financial models. You will work with a team in an agile setting, with potential emphasis on battery storage projects.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of renewable energy development experience is required, as is an awareness of technical, commercial, regulatory, and operational issues.
• Intellectually curious individuals with well-developed written and verbal communication skills, analytical acumen, and proven organizational abilities will excel in this role.
• Applicants should have an undergraduate or graduate degree in any field and an impressive background of academic and professional achievement.
• At DESRI, we consider a wide range of factors to determine your compensation. The expected annual base salary for this position is $100,000 - $150,000.
• Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, paid time off, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.

Responsibilities

• Identify, manage, and implement early- to mid-stage renewable projects.
• Negotiate with real estate counterparties and identify power marketing opportunities.
• Translate complex information into clear financial models while keeping projects on schedule and on budget.
• Collaborate with a team of developers in a dynamic, agile organization.
• Support recontracting operating assets and/or development of surplus battery energy storage projects.
