Job summary

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, seeks an Associate, Commercial Contracts to support PPA Build Transfer and Development Transfer negotiations for renewable projects. The role requires strong organization, clear communication across functions, and the ability to navigate high-pressure negotiations.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule (in office Mon-Thu, remote on Fridays, if permitted) and base pay in the 88k–110k USD range with a 20%–30% annual bonus potential, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Knowledge of wind, solar, and energy storage power systems.
• Experience with complex commercial agreements.
• Must work well in a high performing team setting.
• Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to engage and contribute in a fast-paced high-pressure environment and adapt fluidly to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the Contracts team in the preparation of PPA, BT, and DT agreements.
• Coordinate with Development, Finance, Engineering, Legal, and other functional departments in order to prepare exhibits and other documentation related to the commercial transaction.
• Create and maintain data rooms used to exchange transaction documents with third parties.
• Assist commercial team with gathering and sharing due diligence requested by transaction counterparties.
• Provide support for Invenergy’s RFP responses related to PPA, BT, and DT transactions.
