Job summary

Invenergy LLC in Chicago, IL, seeks an Associate, Renewable Procurement to support sourcing, negotiation, drafting, and administration of major equipment and service agreements for wind, solar, and battery storage projects.

You will help develop commercial contracting strategies, negotiate supplier terms, manage commercial risk, and coordinate with legal, development, engineering, and finance teams across a growing project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, economics, law, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional procurement, sourcing, or contracting experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, and administering commercial agreements.
• Understanding of indemnities, liability limits, warranties, liquidated damages, and risk allocation.
• Ability to manage multiple complex negotiations and priorities.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Occasional travel to project sites and manufacturing facilities.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers for major equipment, services, and long-term support agreements across wind, solar, and battery energy storage technologies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contract terms, including supply agreements, service agreements, reservation agreements, NDAs, letters of intent, amendments, and change orders.
• Evaluate supplier redlines and develop negotiation strategies that appropriately allocate commercial, contractual, schedule, performance, warranty, and financial risks.
• Coordinate closely with legal, development, engineering, project management, finance, and tax.
• Support development of procurement and contracting strategies aligned with project objectives and market conditions.
