Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, seeks an Associate, Commercial Contracts to support PPA Build Transfer and Development Transfer negotiations for renewable projects. The position offers a hybrid work schedule (in office Mon-Thu, remote on Fridays, if permitted) and base pay in the 88k–110k USD range with a 20%–30% annual bonus potential, plus benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the Contracts team in the preparation of PPA, BT, and DT agreements.
• Coordinate with Development, Finance, Engineering, Legal, and other functional departments in order to prepare exhibits and other documentation related to the commercial transaction.
• Create and maintain data rooms used to exchange transaction documents with third parties.
• Assist commercial team with gathering and sharing due diligence requested by transaction counterparties.
• Provide support for Invenergy’s RFP responses related to PPA, BT, and DT transactions.

Job Description Position Overview

As an Associate, Commercial Contracts you must show strong potential down the line to lead complex and often contentious negotiations. You will be responsible for supporting the Invenergy Contracts team’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Build Transfer (BT) and Development Transfer (DT) negotiation efforts for renewable energy projects to third parties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, communicate clearly across multiple functions, and demonstrate confidence navigating conflict, along with a solid understanding of what it takes to develop and construct utility-scale renewable energy projects. Compensation

Base Pay $88,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 20% - 30% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
