Job summary

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Project Engineer to lead electrical engineering and construction of renewable energy projects. You will manage conceptual designs and oversee selected engineering firms to deliver final detailed designs for wind and solar systems.

Key duties include design management, reviews of electrical drawings, scope definition for electrical studies, and tracking schedules.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree.
Knowledge of power systems, ideally acquired through coursework, job experience, and internships.
3+ years of relevant work experience.
General knowledge of interpreting and applying common industry standards and codes.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Engineering Design Management: Develop conceptual project designs that comply with all critical owner and interconnection requirements.
Conduct design reviews of electrical drawings (DC solar, AC collection system, substation, transmission).
Define the scope of all required electrical system studies and review results for accuracy and compliance.
Track design schedules and update stakeholders to meet critical dates.
Support project close out by organizing and transferring as-built documentation.
