Job summary

Entergy’s Power Generation division seeks a Capital Projects Manager (Renew) based onsite in New Orleans to lead planning, development, and execution of solar, BESS, and capacity upgrades across the fleet. You will ensure safe, on-schedule, within-budget delivery with strong stakeholder alignment and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 10+ years in capital project management for power generation or similar sectors, plus a bachelor’s in engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe behavior and adherence to safety rules; lead team to establish leading indicators for safety in design and implementation.
• Define the project organization structure and identify required technical skills.
• Support procurement activities including bid evaluations, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
• Lead the project team to develop and execute assignments per corporate standards and processes.
• Conduct risk identification and mitigation planning across cost, schedule, technical, environmental, and regulatory areas.
• Oversee the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and ensure timely, compliant execution.
• Coordinate with functional departments to meet budget/timeline requirements and turnover equipment to Operations with proper training and documentation.
• Navigate Entergy Stage Gate Process and deliver required artifacts (cost estimates, schedules, risk registers).
• Act as Contract Manager for large EPC contracts and monitor contractor performance for safety, scope, cost, and quality.
• Maintain project controls, including progress tracking, change management, and leadership reporting.
• Provide clear status updates, escalate issues promptly, and drive timely decisions.
• Foster relationships with vendors/contractors and oversee procurement and vendor performance.
