Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Capital Projects Manager (Renew) to lead planning, development, and execution of solar, BESS, and capacity‑uprate initiatives across Entergy’s generation fleet. You will deliver complex projects safely, on schedule, and within budgets while ensuring technical quality and stakeholder alignment.

The role requires 10+ years of capital project management experience in utilities or related sectors, strong EPC contract expertise, and willingness to travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience managing capital projects in power generation, utilities, industrial facilities, or related sectors.
• Experience with reviewing, executing, and managing large EPC contracts.
• Knowledge of capital projects process planning and asset management.
• Strong contract negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
• Advanced scheduling skills with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Willingness to travel to plant and project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe behavior and adherence to safety rules; lead the team to establish leading indicators so safety is considered in all aspects of design and implementation.
• Define the project organization structure required for the project and identify the technical skills required to achieve project goals.
• Support procurement activities including bid evaluations, vendor selection, and negotiation of project contracts.
• Lead the project team to develop and execute assignments in accordance with corporate standards; ensure team members fulfill responsibilities.
• Conduct risk identification and mitigation planning across cost, schedule, technical, environmental, and regulatory areas.
• Direct development and oversight of the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Coordinate with functional departments to meet budget/timeline requirements; hand over completed equipment to Operations with training and docs.
