Job summary

New Frontier Immigration Law seeks an experienced immigration attorney with a strong removal-defense background to join our Phoenix/Glendale team.

You will handle high-stakes court matters, mentor junior staff, file motions, and develop strategic defenses for clients facing removal. The role emphasizes compassionate client communication, precise filings, and collaboration within a trusted humanitarian-focused team.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active bar license in good standing.
Minimum 3 years of immigration law experience with a meaningful removal defense caseload.
Demonstrated courtroom experience before immigration judges.
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven docket with precision and composure.
Spanish fluency required.

Responsibilities

Manage a high-volume removal defense caseload before EOIR, BIA, and federal courts with experience-based independence.
Represent clients at master calendar, merits, and bond hearings before immigration judges.
Develop and execute individualized defense strategies including asylum and cancellation of removal.
Prepare and file motions, briefs, appeals, and evidentiary packages with precision.
Conduct trauma-informed client interviews and intake.
Research complex immigration law issues and evolving case law.
Collaborate with and mentor junior attorneys and staff on removal defense.
Participate in firm strategy meetings and CLE.
Maintain organized case notes using Filevine.
Ensure clear, compassionate client communication throughout proceedings.
