Job summary

New Frontier Immigration Law in Phoenix/Glendale, AZ, seeks an immigration attorney with a strong background in removal defense to join a high-performing team.

You will manage cases before EOIR, the BIA, and federal courts, represent clients at hearings, and develop individualized defense strategies. Mentorship of junior attorneys and collaboration across the firm are central to the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of immigration law experience with a meaningful removal defense caseload.
• Demonstrated courtroom experience advocating before immigration judges.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven docket with precision.
• Spanish fluency is required for the client population served.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume removal defense caseload before EOIR, BIA, and federal circuits.
• Represent clients at master calendar, merits, and bond hearings before immigration judges.
• Develop and execute individualized defense strategies including asylum and cancellation of removal.
• Prepare and file motions, briefs, appeals, and evidentiary packages with strategic intent.
• Conduct trauma-informed client interviews and intake for removal proceedings.
• Research complex immigration law issues and evolving case law to support arguments.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff on removal defense matters.
• Participate in firm-wide case strategy meetings and CLE sessions.
• Maintain accurate case notes using Filevine and ensure clear client communication.
