Job summary

Talently is seeking an experienced immigration attorney for a high-volume practice in New York. The role focuses on removal defense and family-based immigration matters in immigration court, with opportunities to deepen courtroom expertise and provide thoughtful advocacy.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with attorneys and support staff dedicated to strong client service and meaningful impact on clients facing deportation.

Qualifications

• At least 3–4 years of immigration law experience with substantial courtroom practice.
• Experience handling master calendar and individual hearings.
• Strong knowledge of asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers and complex inadmissibility issues.
• Excellent research, writing, and brief-drafting skills; motions experience.
• Ability to advocate effectively in high-stakes proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in EOIR removal proceedings, including hearings.
• Prepare and file motions, applications for relief, and briefs for asylum, cancellation and waivers.
• Handle appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals and federal courts where qualified.
• Communicate clearly with clients facing deportation and complex legal challenges.
