Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Zero Trust Lead (Network) to advance Zero Trust across identity, device, network, cloud, and security domains. The role is hybrid and based in Washington, DC, with heavy hands-on engineering alongside Network Operations.

You will define policy intent, standards, and roadmaps, lead cross-functional design, and ensure capabilities are tested and ready for production. Strong enterprise networking and ITIL/ServiceNow experience required.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on enterprise network engineering/operations.
• Experience leading Zero Trust design, implementation and operations across identity, device posture, network, cloud and security.
• Familiar with AD/Okta/MIM, and network tools like Palo Alto, Zscaler and Aruba.

Responsibilities

• Own Zero Trust strategy and cross-tower integration across identity, device posture, network, cloud, and security domains.
• Provide hands-on network engineering and troubleshooting with Cisco, Palo Alto, and LAN/WAN services.
• Define and lead Zero Trust requirements for firewall controls, ZIA/ZPA, and NAC integrations; align with identity controls.
• Coordinate Zero Trust across Network Ops, IAM, Cloud, and Security to ensure production readiness.
