Job summary

Aru Labs is seeking a Product Engineer to build and ship products across product, design, and engineering. You will translate ideas into shipped features using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and MongoDB, with a focus on solving real user problems.

You will own projects from definition to launch in a remote-first, high-ownership environment, collaborating closely with product and design teams and iterating based on user feedback.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Experience with React and/or Next.js
• Experience with Node.js and backend development
• Experience building and shipping production products
• Good understanding of APIs, databases, and web architecture
• Strong product thinking and user empathy
• Good eye for design and user experience

Responsibilities

• Take products from idea to launch
• Understand user problems and turn them into simple product solutions
• Help define what we should build and why
• Design product flows, interfaces, and user experiences
• Prototype ideas quickly and validate them
• Build frontend and backend systems
• Develop applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and MongoDB
• Build APIs and integrate AI models, payments, and third-party services
• Make technical and product decisions independently
• Work closely with product, design, and other engineers
• Talk to users and use feedback to improve products
• Use product data and user behavior to guide iterations
• Deploy, monitor, debug, and maintain production applications
• Continuously improve products after launch
• Own projects from problem definition to shipped product
