Jobs in JS is seeking a Product Engineer to build and ship products with a remote-first, high-ownership team. You will work at the intersection of product, design, and engineering, taking ideas from problem definition through to shipped products and ongoing iteration.

You will contribute across the stack, collaborating with product, design, and other engineers. The role emphasizes user-centered thinking, rapid prototyping, and shipping production-grade code using TypeScript, React, Next.js,

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Experience with React and/or Next.js.
• Backend development with Node.js.
• Experience building and shipping production products.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, and web architecture.
• Strong product thinking and user empathy.
• Ability to prototype and iterate quickly.

Responsibilities

• Take products from idea to launch.
• Understand user problems and turn them into simple products.
• Help define what to build and why.
• Design product flows, interfaces, and user experiences.
• Prototype ideas quickly and validate them.
• Build frontend and backend systems.
• Develop applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and MongoDB.
• Build APIs and integrate AI models, payments, and third-party services.
• Make independent technical and product decisions.
