Job summary

TheSoul Group is seeking a YouTube Strategist & Channel Manager to lead strategy and day-to-day operations for a new TV series channel focused on food and outdoor content. You will read data, decide what comes next, and collaborate with a dedicated editor to ensure every video builds on performance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on YouTube growth, strong analytics, and experience turning TV or film content into YouTube formats.

Qualifications

• 3+ years growing YouTube channels hands-on.
• Strong analytics skills and ability to turn data into direction for content.
• Comfortable owning both strategy and daily execution: posting, copywriting, titles and community management.
• Hands-on experience growing TikTok and Instagram accounts.
• Experience turning TV, film or podcast content into YouTube content.
• Background in food, travel or outdoor niches.
• Knowledge of YouTube advertiser-friendly guidelines.
• Experience with brand integrations.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Track channel performance weekly: views, subscribers, retention, CTR, traffic sources.
• Turn insights into briefs for the editor: topics, hooks, length.
• Find formats/topics that perform; adjust plan accordingly.
• Lead channel toward monetisation eligibility and track progress.
• Manage channel setup for a US audience: playlists, keywords, titles/descriptions.
• Own the publishing calendar: 2 long-form videos and 14 Shorts weekly; post on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook.
• Grow across platforms with platform-specific formats and posting times.
• Write titles, descriptions, captions; brief thumbnails and A/B test weekly.
• Refresh underperforming videos with new title/thumbnail/opening.
• Spot trends early and bring ideas into plan.
• Prepare cuts for client review in Frame.io.
• Manage comments daily; build an engaged community.
