Job summary

Commonpoint offers a remote WLG Facilitator role for youth; you will lead virtual workshops, guide participants through career readiness and digital professionalism, and provide ongoing support to 14-24 year-olds. The program operates with a seasonal, part-time schedule and an hourly rate.

As a facilitator, you will track attendance, communicate expectations, and collaborate with program staff to ensure participant success; prior SYEP/WLG experience is a plus, and a High School Diploma is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; current college enrollment or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with classroom management.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a professional setting.
• Computer literate including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Experience with SYEP/WLG programs is preferred.
• Experience developing youth development and work readiness curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging virtual WLG workshops, activities, and learning sessions aligned with program goals and curriculum.
• Deliver workforce-readiness content related to career exploration, workplace expectations, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, financial literacy, résumé and interview preparation, digital professionalism.
• Create an inclusive, welcoming, and interactive virtual learning environment where participants contribute and collaborate.
• Use breakout rooms, discussions, polls, collaborative activities, and reflection exercises to maintain engagement.
• Monitor attendance, participation, engagement, and completion of activities.
• Follow up with participants regarding incomplete assignments and scheduled activities.
• Track participant activity and maintain accurate program documentation and records.
• Communicate program expectations, schedules, deadlines, and important updates clearly to participants.
• Collaborate with WLG program staff, internship staff, and partners to support participant success.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, program planning, and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
