Job summary

Thrivent seeks a senior Employee Relations & Compliance leader to advise enterprise leaders on complex people matters, guide on EEO, wage/hour, ADA, and related policies, and proactively manage workforce risk. You will lead policy development, drive improvements, and partner with HR, Legal, and business leaders to ensure sound employment practices.

The role requires strong judgment, data-driven decision making, and excellent communication to influence across functions in a fast-paced financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 7+ years in employee relations, ethics, compliance, HR or related field.
• Experience handling complex workforce matters and compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of EEO, FMLA, and employment statutes and policies.
• Ability to influence decisions across functions and levels.
• Discretion in handling sensitive information with professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and solutions on complex employee and field issues to enterprise leaders.
• Offer guidance on compliance topics such as EEO, Wage and Hour, ADA, and conflicts of interest.
• Lead projects, manage timelines, and communicate progress with stakeholders.
• Develop and update policies to ensure lawful, sound employment practices.
• Identify workforce risk and drive process improvements across policies and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of sensitive employee records and support terminations as needed.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to resolve issues.
