Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Workers’ Compensation defense experience or related practice area.
• Must be able to go to trial in person.
• Strong client-relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 60 cases, not exceeding 80 at any time.
• Handle hearings and trials as the primary contact for client issues.
• Collaborate with a Legal Assistant to manage administrative tasks.
• Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours.
• Travel within the area for in-person trials, primarily in Southern California.
• Enter time and approve work completed by legal assistants.

Position Title: Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney

Salary Range: $125,000 - $200,000 / Year DOE+ Uncapped Bonus Potential

The Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney will play a crucial role in managing a diverse caseload for a variety of clients and requires a strong foundation in Workers Compensation defense and the ability to navigate trials effectively. With a 200 hour billable minimum, candidates should be prepared to handle a full range of case responsibilities, from initial contact to trial proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 60 cases, ensuring no more than 80 cases at any time


• Handle all types of hearings and trials, serving as the first point of contact for client issues


• Work collaboratively with a dedicated Legal Assistant to manage administrative tasks


• Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours


• Travel within the area for in-person trials, primarily in Southern California


• Enter time and approve work completed by legal assistants


• Build and maintain client relationships to foster trust and satisfaction

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of Workers Compensation defense experience


• MUST BE ABLE TO GO TO TRIAL IN PERSON


• Trial experience is highly preferred


• Barred in California


• Personable and able to build strong relationships with clients


• Team player who is flexible
