Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Trainee to join the team and work from their home in New Mexico. The role initially focuses on adjudicating medical-only claims and will be trained on low complexity indemnity claims, with oversight from a Rockwood, PA manager.

You will handle alive-and-well checks, subrogation potential, and timely medical payments while maintaining thorough documentation and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of medical-only workers' compensation claims.
• Minimum of six years adjudicating medical-only claims or in insurance/healthcare.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute 5 of the 6 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate compensability by interviewing workers, employers, and providers.
• Set reserves and manage diary to ensure timely resolution.
• Deny noncompensable claims and defend decisions when challenged.
• Monitor and pay medical bills accurately and timely.
• Record hours, submit timesheets, and work overtime when needed.
