Job summary

Argo Group seeks a Workers' Compensation Claims Trainee to work from home in New Mexico or from our Omaha office. Under supervision, you will adjudicate medical-only claims and later learn low-complexity indemnity claims, including Federal and State Black Lung claims with DOL approvals.

You will record hours, set reserves, and communicate with insureds, claimants, and providers. This field role emphasizes strong claim management and timely resolution.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of medical-only workers' compensation claims.
• Bachelor's degree can substitute for part of required experience.
• Excellent communication and customer-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct claim investigations by interviewing workers, employers, medical providers.
• Manage medical-only claims and Black Lung claims with approved schedules.
• Set reserves and ensure timely medical payments and proper documentation.
• Maintain diaries and prioritize workload to resolve cases timely.
• Deny non‑compensable claims and defend decisions when challenged.
