Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Trainee to adjudicate medical-only claims, with future exposure to low-complexity indemnity matters. The role may be based from a home in New Mexico or the Omaha office, reporting to a manager in Rockwood, PA.

The position requires extensive experience with medical-only claims, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage diaries, reserves, and timely payments within a collaborative, field/office setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of medical-only workers’ compensation claims.
• Experience adjudicating medical-only claims (6+ years).
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute 5 of the 6 years of experience.
• Must have strong business acumen and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough claim investigations under supervision to determine compensability.
• Manage medical-only and Black Lung claims with Department of Labor approvals.
• Set reserves and ensure timely, accurate medical payments.
• Document activities, maintain diaries, and prepare reports for files.
• Coordinate with insureds, claimants, and providers to resolve cases.
