Job summary

VLCT is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Representative or Trainee to support our municipal members within the PACIF trust. The role blends investigation, negotiation, and claims management with state forms, medical providers, and legal guidance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze information.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within-state.
• Evening hours for meetings, mediations or hearings may be required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; VT workers’ compensation adjuster license or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage claims, complete and submit state forms.
• Collaborate with medical providers, legal counsel, and the Vermont Department of Labor.
• Mediating and negotiating settlements; adjust claims per Vermont workers’ compensation statute.
