Gallagher in California is seeking a Claims Examiner to own indemnity claims, ensure timely resolution, and interact with clients using strong customer service skills. You’ll handle lien resolution and manage diaries, with attention to accuracy and deadlines.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3 years of claims experience, appropriate licensing, and proficiency with claims software; a Bachelor's is preferred. Remote work within California and local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 3 years related claims experience.
• Licensed/certified in all states where claims are handled or able to obtain licenses per local requirements.
• Proficient with claims software and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate claim diaries and notes in IVOS.
• Identify penalties and ensure compliance with deadlines.
• Report excess files, SIU/Fraud cases, and subrogation opportunities.
• Prepare and attend file reviews for timely resolutions.
• Negotiate settlements; manage referrals to defense attorneys.
• Update reserves and ensure accuracy of reserves.
• Aim for high closing ratios and minimize runoff accounts.
• Provide excellent client and claimant service and timely communications.
