Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in AL, SC, and TN.
• Bachelor’s degree required; two insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• License required in AL & SC at start; GA, MI & NC preferred but not required.
• Must have good business acumen and strong communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate high-technical workers' compensation claims with significant limits and authority.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly and interview involved parties.
• Manage claims in litigation and coordinate with underwriters on trends.
• Prepare reports for file documentation and ensure timely reserve setting.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate with insured and claimants.
